Burger King outmuscled Coca-Cola to force a 127-109 win Friday night in the 2008-09 Motolite-PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Whoppers leaned on Gary David, who top scored with 26 points for Burger King’s fourth win against two losses.

Arwind Santos added 24 points while Cyrus Baguio pitched in 21. Beau Belga and Wynnie Arboleda also posted double digits with 12 and 11 points for the Whoppers.

“We just rode on our momentum from our last game. Our win against the Barako Bull was huge because we got our confidence back and things are looking good for us again,” said coach Yeng Guiao.

The win shot the Whoppers to second place in the team standings behind leader San Miguel Beer (5-0).

Coca-Cola fell to 1-4 to join the Energy Boosters at the bottom of the team standing.

Miller lifts Aces past Gin Kings

Former MVP Willie Miller scored the last 10 points for Alaska for a 82-81 squeaker over Barangay Ginebra.

The Aces were down by eight points with 72-80 in the final four minutes when Miller erupted with 10 crucial points. Chico Lanete tried to steal the win for Ginebra but his three-point attempt was short as time expired.

The win was Alaska's second after a 0-3 start. The Gin Kings, meanwhile, absorbed their fourth straight loss.

Miller finished with 18 points and seven assists while Rosell Ellis chipped in 16. The Aces are now 2-0 with Ellis around.
