Rousey to coach on The Ultimate Fighter

MANILA, Philippines – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will be a coach in the next edition of the reality competition “The Ultimate Fighter” (TUF).

UFC announced that Rousey will serve as a coach on TUF 18, which will feature both male and female bantamweight fighters.

The other team will be coached by the winner of the women’s bantamweight bout between former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano.

Tate and Zingano will face off on April 13, in the finale of TUF 17.

The current edition of TUF features teams coached by UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones and top contender Chael Sonnen.

Sonnen will challenge Jones for the light-heavyweight belt in the main event of the TUF finale.

UFC also announced that they will hold tryouts for TUF 18 on April 15 at the Palace Station Hotel in Las Vegas.
