Pacquiao endorses Loren Legarda
MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has officially endorsed vice-presidential candidate Loren Legarda, the running mate of Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Manny Villar.
The 7-division champ made the endorsement on a plane ride to General Santos City from Manila. Both Legarda and Villar joined him on the flight.
“Manny Pacquiao is a national treasure, and I am grateful for his endorsement,” said Legarda.
“Manny Pacquiao makes me proud to be Pinoy, and even prouder that he is with us in the campaign. He has shown us what good old-fashioned hard work and determination can achieve. Kaya ako sumasaludo kay Manny ‘di lamang bilang isang kumare at kaibigan, kundi bilang Pilipino,” she added.
Legarda is one of Pacquiao’s “kumare” or godmother to his youngest daughter Queen Elizabeth.
The Villar-Legarda team is set to campaign in General Santos City, Maasim, Kiamba, and Maitum on a chariot ride.
The sortie culminates in a rally at the Kiamba gym.
Pacquiao earlier endorsed Villar.
Pacquiao is running for the lone congressional seat of Sarangani province.
He lost in his first attempt to represent the district of South Cotabato in 2007 against Rep. Darlene Antonino-Custodio.

Pre ang ibang nationality respect is for his achievement in boxing and don't forget also that they are not affected with our politics. Personally, I think what he is doing is wrong kasi his popularity should not be use to endorse anyone since it is equally dangerous that he may just be wrong in his choosing. There are responsibility in regards to influences that he may have, which he should considered. What others feel despite of what Manny have accomplished in the boxing arena as a national pride can be deceiving in a sense of betrayal to those who admired him that doesn't agree with his choice of endorsement. And lets not forget before you monologue again about his achievement as national pride. Manny is a natural predator, he did what accomplishment he had for himself, it just happen that he is a pinoy. Sorry, I'm not a believer in him when it comes to doing what is right for our people. This is not boxing, this is politics at play which is far more diverse in his nature of talent.

I have spent my last centavo just to watch your fights. I followed your fights even before while you were still fighting at plush restaurants in Makati. You are my idol but endorsing loren, I can say you were ill advised. Can you not understand the sentiment of the people towards this woman? Majority of the people who has been following her story, from being a newscaster to a senator, never liked her. In fact hated her because of her unpredictable loyalty. "Walang Iwanan" "Hindi Lumisan" yong jingle nya na kinanta ng binayarang si geronimo ay yon mismo ang ginawa nya sa mga kasamahan niya sa senado at sa asawa nya. I will never waste my vote for this kind of woman. She's a traitor to her family and to her colleagues in the senate. Vote for any other candidate except loren. Manny, loren is a big negative factor to your campaign..JUNK HER!!! If not, you'll go down with her..remember this. SALOT YAN AT DI DAPAT PANSININ!!
No Villar & Legarda yes to Pacquaio
Go Pacquaio! I hope you win! Itong se Marcos hinde magandang mga tao yan. Nong presidente sela ninakaw lahat ang pera nang Pilipinas para lang sa kanela mag papamilya. Lalong nag hirap yong Pilipinas.
Kala siguro nela porket naka deposit sa ibang bansa yong pera na safe, mas lalo nag ka problema dahil sa ibang bansa ibig sabihen Philippine law doesn’t apply.
Ito naman se Villar wala ren naman tulong na ginawa sa kapwa niyang Pilipino puro nalang pangako. May pera pala yong mga anak nag aaral dito sa states anong tulong ang ginawa neya last year doon sa mga nag hirap sa hurricane? Ito ang current event ni Villar isipen nenyo yan. Bakit kailanga mo maging presidente para lang tumulong? Kalokuhan. Se Pacquaio malinis ang intentions neya kaya lang bago lang seya wala seyang connections so kailangan mag karoon nang connection kaya okay lang pero pag matagal tagal kana Manny kailangan iwasan mo itong mga tao. Sana se Pacqauaio manalo pero hinde se Villar at Legarda.
Ingrate Pinoys
Based on the postings for this news item, very clear that Pinoy attitude, if it's not ugly yet, has gone very, very ugly and disgusting. Why? This guy Pacquiao has not done or say anything bad but give all Pinoys around the world happiness, excitement, honor and respect from any nationalities worldwide. Every time he fights, he never missed announcing to the whole world his pure love for the Filipinos and his country. Yet, they have the guts to badmouth him and disrespect him in spite of everything. For what? For running in congress with the goal of again better help them and get closer to his kabayans? For raising a candidate's hand because of politics? It really is a shame that other nationalities respect him better than the countrymen he proudly represents. The least that his countrymen can do not to disrespect him publicly, is not to vote for him and his endorsement. But for God's sake, don't display your dog like attitude, like you're even proud to act like one. Stupid and ingrate Pinoys! The next time, you'll be excited and jumping again after his next fight and say, "I'm a Pinoy, like Pacquiao". Sahme, shame, shame on you Doug!
"Republican" Pacman: I'm Not Ashamed of Being "Feminine"
In American politics, the elements eliminate each other and form a generalized "male" group called "Democrats" (Wood & Fire) and a generalized "female" group called "Republicans" (Water, Earth & Metal).
The Democrats are on the Left and the Republicans are on the Right. Philippine politics, however is "female," so the elemental positions are often dynamic or confused. Sometimes, they don't know where they are.
However, if we know their elements, we can know their position even if they say they are elsewhere. Noynoy (Air) and his VP candidate Mar Roxas (Fire) from the Liberal Party are "Democrats," mimicking the various degrees of "masculinity." Villar (Metal) and his VP candidate Loren Legarda (Water) from the Nacionalista Party are "Republicans," the "female" side of the country.
Feng Shui holds that position and balance are keys to prosperity. Feng-Shui literally means Wind-Water, favoring the balance of "male" and "female" to produce a normal environment. Therefore, the optimal choice for President and VP would be Noynoy and Loren.
However, because of the forces of nature, what is optimal is not often chosen due to ignorance. A straight Democrat win (Noynoy-Mar) would produce a "male-gay" government. A Manny-Mar win would create "bi-gay" leadership--a very filthy combination.
Furthermore, the divided Right may opt to combine forces when the less-voted elements choose to surrender their votes to a more popular element. But Earth on the Right may move to the Left, just as Blacks join American Democrats.
In any case, we usually can't expect the best to happen since nature is very imperfect. We just have to cope with nature, whatever it finally decides.
