Pelicans win fourth straight game at Clippers' expense

Pelicans 98, Clippers 96

Reserve shooting guard Anthony Morrow scored 20 of his season-high 27 points in the first half and forward Darius Miller hit five of his career-high 16 points in the final 2:46 to lift the short-handed New Orleans Pelicans past the Los Angeles Clippers.

It was the Pelicans' fourth consecutive victory -- their longest winning streak of the season. Forward Anthony Davis had 16 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks, and he hit 1 of 2 free throws with 9.4 seconds left to give the Pelicans their 98-96 lead.

Jamal Crawford scored a game-high 31 points for the Clippers (50-22) but missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.

Guard Chris Paul missed all 12 of his field goal attempts.

Suns 99, Wizards 93

Goran Dragic scored 25 points and backcourt partner Eric Bledsoe had 23 as the Phoenix Suns defeated the Washington Wizards for their fifth straight victory.

Gerald Green had 18 points for the Suns (43-29), who won for the sixth time in seven games at Washington (36-35) despite nearly blowing a 25-point lead.

Phoenix's win tied them for the eighth spot in the Western Conference with Dallas and Memphis who were playing late on Wednesday.

Timberwolves 107, Hawks 83

Minnesota pushed a seven-point halftime lead to as many as 28 points in the fourth quarter as they ended a three-game losing streak in style.

Kevin Martin and forward Corey Brewer scored 18 points each for the Timberwolves (35-35) as they handed the Hawks a fourth consecutive defeat.

Mike Scott led the Hawks (31-39) with 15 points, and forward Paul Millsap added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
