The Toronto Raptors moved closer to the Atlantic Division title with a victory over the Boston Celtics.

The win, only the third in the last seven games for Toronto, moved the Raptors 2 1/2 games ahead of the Brooklyn Nets for the division lead.

The Raptors started the night as the No. 4 playoff seed. With a loss by the New York Knicks in Sacramento late Wednesday, Toronto clinches its first playoff berth since 2008.

Terrence Ross had 24 points to lead the Raptors (40-31) while Jared Sullinger scored a team-high 26 for the Celtics (23-48).

Al Jefferson had 35 points and 15 rebounds, and Kemba Walker added 20 points and 12 assists as the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Brooklyn Nets in overtime.

The Bobcats sewed up the victory on a bizarre play when Chris Douglas-Roberts retrieved a blocked shot and hit a long jumper at the shot clock buzzer for a five-point lead with 10.1 seconds left.

The Bobcats (35-37) bounced back after an 100-89 loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday, while the Nets (37-33) suffered their second consecutive loss.
