In retaliation to Freddie Roach’s statement that Manny Pacquiao will knock out Ricky Hatton in three rounds, the Briton’s trainer Floyd Mayweather, Sr. said his charge can do even better.

“Hatton is going to stop Pacquiao before 3. We're going to put hands on him man; trust me," Mayweather told FightHype.com.

Roach earlier relayed to Gabriel Montoya of MaxBoxing.com, “I told Manny that if it goes past three rounds, I’d be mad at him.”

To this, Mayweather said "He better get ready to be disappointed then.”

He also told FightHype.com that Hatton does not intend to let the judges decide the outcome of the “Battle of the East and West.”

"Ricky is coming to hurt this guy man. He's not playing games,” said Mayweather.

“Roach thinks because Lil Floyd did that to Hatton, that Manny can too, but he ain't no Lil Floyd," he added, pertaining to his son Floyd Mayweather, Jr. who defeated Hatton in 2007.

Mayweather, Sr. also thinks that Hatton can stop the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter because "He's been stopped to the body twice. A lot of people don't know that, but one guy hit him in the body and he was crawling around and couldn't get up. Another guy hit him with a straight right hand to the body and he didn't move at all."

Pacquiao wants a rematch

Meanwhile, “The People’s Champ” made known of his post-fight plan involving a rematch.

The Time 100 finalist said that he wants to have a rematch, not in a boxing match, but in a game of darts.

According to Sassyqarla.com, Manny Pacquiao wants to avenge his loss to Hatton in a darts game that they played during their promotional tour in England.

"I need a rematch, after the fight, playing darts," he said during a press conference in Hollywood, California.

That rematch would have to wait until Pacquiao takes on Hatton on May 2 (May 3 in Manila).

In February, the two boxers played a darts game called “501” in Hatton’s hometown, Manchester.

A Telegraph.co.uk report by Gareth Davies noted that game rules favored Hatton as Pacquiao was more familiar with a darts game known as “cricket” which involves going around the board.

Davies wrote, “All good fun, anyway, and Hatton presented Pacquiao with a Manchester City football shirt at the end of it.”
