MANILA, Philippines – Hall-of-Fame trainer Freddie Roach has declared Filipino ring icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao 100% ready for his April 12 rematch against unbeaten American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. in Las Vegas.

Team Pacquiao is already in Las Vegas after wrapping up the Los Angeles phase of training camp, and both fighter and trainer have expressed their excitement for the upcoming bout.

“Ready na. Ready na tayo,” said Pacquiao in an interview on radio DZMM Wednesday morning, Manila time.

“He’s in great shape,” Roach said of his fighter. “You know, when I saw him work out today, he’s having fun, he’s playing a little bit as well.”

“That means he’s ready to fight. He’s tired of training, he’s ready for the big one, and Bradley is in trouble,” Roach declared.

Pacquiao is aiming to avenge his controversial June 2012 loss to Bradley, which saw two judges award the American the victory even though the “Pacman” was in control of the fight.

Roach has admitted that Pacquiao likely cruised in the second half of that bout as the fighter believed that he had a huge lead on the judges’ scorecards, but this time, the trainer says fans should expect a more aggressive “Pacman.”

“He really wants to give the fans what they want to see, and what they want to see at this point is a knockout,” Roach said.

“While doing the mitts, we talk a lot , and he said to me, ‘When I hurt him, I’m gonna finish him with this combination.’ He explained to me in detail, so he’s 100% ready,” he added. “I’ve never seen him better.”

Roach also expressed his confidence that Bradley will come to regret his trash talk and repeated questioning of Pacquiao’s killer instinct and hunger leading up to the fight.

“Bradley, he’s been talking a lot,” said the trainer. “But I think at the end of the day, Manny will be the one with a smile on his face.”
