CHICAGO – Playoff-bound Chicago received a 109-98 thumping at the hands of Toronto, a defeat that helped book the Bulls a date with the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics in the first round.

Toronto's Shawn Marion scored a season-high 34 points while Chris Bosh added 21 points and 19 rebounds as the Raptors snapped Chicago's five-game win streak and helped keep them from the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Together with Philadelphia's overtime triumph at Cleveland against the NBA regular-season champions who rested their best playoffs, the Bulls' loss made them the seventh seed at 41-41 and set them against Boston.

Ben Gordon led Chicago with 23 points while Derrick Rose added 20 points and 11 assists and Joakim Noah added 17 points and nine rebounds.

Toronto's Jose Calderon scored 14 points and went 2-for-2 at the free throw line to set an NBA season free-throw accuracy record of 98.1 percent with 151-of-154 successful shots from the line, erasing Calvin Murphy's old mark from the record books.
