‘Rampage’ sets collision vs ‘Suga’ in UFC 114

MANILA, Philippines – Former light heavyweight champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Suga” Rashad Evans headline the main event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 114 on May 29.

According to UFC.com, the bitter rivals, who coached opposing teams in The Ultimate Fighters (TUF) Heavyweights, will slug it out at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jackson, who is known for his brutal strength inside the Octagon, was the light heavyweight champion until he lost the title to Forrest Griffin in UFC 86 in 2008. He has a mixed martial arts (MMA) record of 30 wins and 7 losses.

Evans, on the other hand, reigned as light heavyweight champion before losing the title to Lyoto Machida in UFC 98 in 2009. He used his take down action against opponents to compile 19 wins against 1 loss.

Other matches under UFC 114 include Michael Bisping vs. Dan Miller, and Antonio Nogueira vs. Jason Brilz.
