MANILA, Philippines – Although there are reports about Floyd Mayweather Jr. asking for a bigger share of revenues in a fight with Manny Pacquiao, the camp of the outspoken boxer has relatively been silent since the Filipino agreed to have himself blood tested 14 days before their possible bout.
Unlike in the past when the Mayweathers were practically non-stop in issuing statements to reporters, the camp of the former pound-for-pound king has been mum about a possible fight with the 7-division and reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion.
“Nothing,” Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told The Sweet Science boxing website, when asked about developments on a possible Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.
"Haven't heard a word. The ball is completely in Mayweather's court. Every term has been agreed to," he added.
Pacquiao, recently elected as congressman of Sarangani province, has already softened his stand on Mayweather’s demand that he undergo a blood test 14 days before the fight, clearing an obstacle to talks for their much-awaited bout.
“Pumayag naman ako pero hindi yung talagang maraming dugo na kukunin. Kung anong dugo ang kelangan sa drug test, ganoon lang karami. Fourteen days [before the fight],” he earlier told ABS-CBN News' Dyan Castillejo..
The blood test controversy was the reason the negotiations between the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps collapsed early this year.
The two would have fought last March 13, but Mayweather ended up fighting Shane Mosley and Pacquiao battling Ghana's Joshua Clottey.
Pacquiao’s camp earlier agreed to undergo tests 24 days before the fight, but Mayweather’s group insisted that blood should be taken 14 days prior to the fight.

Bigger share
Pacquiao’s lawyer Jeng Gacal said there were reports the undefeated American has demanded a bigger share of the purse for the showdown being planned for November 13.
Although the reports did not directly quote Mayweather, Gacal assured that they will never agree to the American’s “new demand”.
“We will never agree to that,” said Gacal.
Pacquiao himself said he will no longer entertain new demands from Mayweather.
"Talagang hindi siya lalaban kung mangatwiran ulit siya," he said.
If the superfight fails to push through, Pacquiao may still fight another boxer or just retire and focus on his newfound career in politics. -- With a report from the Philippine Star
