Pacquiao to watch Boston-Miami game before fight
Pac-Bradley won't go head-to-head vs NBA
MANILA, Philippines – The Pacquiao-Bradley bout is unlikely to wage a TV ratings war against the NBA playoffs Game 7 between Boston and Miami.
This is because Manny Pacquiao would like to watch the NBA game first before stepping into the ring.
Boxing promoter Bob Arum said he has already arranged the fight schedule to give Pacquiao leeway to watch the Celtics playing versus the Heat.
“I’m not waiting for Manny’s request on this one. We will not begin the Pacquiao –Bradley main event fight until the Celtics and the Heat finish their playoff game,” said Arum in Boxing Scene.
Pacquiao love basketball like any typical Filipino. He is also a big Celtics fan.
“Now Manny, the Heat, the Celtics, and sports fans watching the basketball game won’t have to make a choice between events,” said Arum. “They will be able to watch both.”
But Arum said the undercard fights will still be shown as earlier scheduled.
“The action-packed pay-per-view undercard will begin as scheduled at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.”
Pacquiao will be defending his WBO welterweight title against Bradley on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada (Sunday in Manila).
