MANILA -- The University of Santo Tomas Tigresses and the San Sebastian College Lady Stags will kick off their best-of-three finals series Thursday as they fight it out for the sixth Shakey’s V-League championship.

The Tigresses and the Lady Stags will dispute for the crown for the fourth time in the last five conferences of V-League.

UST is expected to lean on guest players Michelle Carolino and Mary Jean Balse, who churned out 13 hits each during their win 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 over the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws.

SSC, meanwhile, will bank on Thai import Jaroensri Bualee and Laurence Ann Latigay who scored 18 and 17 points, respectively, as the Lady Stags dethroned the Adamson University Lady Falcons with a 25-14, 25-22, 25-14 romp.
