MANILA, Philippines – It took three games, but Talk 'N Text finally fired on all cylinders Monday night as they crushed San Mig Super Coffee, 112-86, in Game 3 of their PBA Governors Cup semi-finals series to avoid getting swept.

Talk 'N Text exploded for 32 points in the second period alone and led by as much as 28 in the second half, and answered every potential San Mig rally with a big shot.

"The one thing we had going for us is that we played as a team offensively," said TNT head coach Norman Black, as quoted by PBA.ph. "The ball was really moving from hand-to-hand. Nobody was really holding it. Guys are really looking to give the extra pass and get a better shot."

"It's one of the things we've been preaching the entire year, particularly in this series, but we have not been able to get it done," Black noted.

"But tonight, we really played as a team, which is very important for us. We really have to have ball movement to have a chance of winning against San Mig Coffee."

Black also decided to extend his rotation a bit, as 15 players saw the floor. Ranidel De Ocampo led the way with 24 points, but five other players also scored in double digits. Import Paul Harris had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

"I was sticking to a 10-man rotation and it wasn't working, so I figured I'll give everybody a chance to play and see what happens," Black explained. "I'm very pleased with the players I called, because they responded well."

Among the players who stepped up was Elmer Espiritu, who scored 10 points in 13 minutes of playing time.

"It was a decision to just let everybody play and see who's going to play well, and keep them on the floor," said Black. "Fortunately for me tonight, everybody played well."

With the win, the Texters managed to extend their season, although Black made it clear that the advantage was still with the Mixers.

"What I’m hoping now is that we win one more game and put a little bit of pressure on them, and hopefully get this team to a Game 5," said the multi-titled coach.
