MANILA, Philippines – World Boxing Council (WBC) President Don Jose Sulaiman vowed to help arrange the elusive superfight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Sulaiman told Philboxing’s Ronnie Nathanielsz that fight fans are not alone in wanting the fight to get done.

“Take it for sure that I will do my best as this is the top fight the world wants to see,” he said.

Pacquiao’s camp, reportedly including Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, has tried to arrange a superfight with Mayweather.

But the undefeated American fighter has been asking numerous demands and is unwilling to give Pacquiao a fair share of the fight revenue.

Sulaiman said he might be able to convince Mayweather to square off with Pacquiao.

Mayweather is one of WBC’s champions, being the owner of its WBC welterweight belt.

“[Mayweather] respects the organization and is a friend. So are some of his representatives,” said Sulaiman.
