Ricky Hatton gets back in the gym

It has been two months since Ricky Hatton was demolished by pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao in the “Battle of East and West.”

Yet Hatton has not released a statement on what he plans to do with his career.

Since his second round knock out loss to Pacquiao on May 2, critics and boxing fans have called on the British fighter to hang his gloves.

But others have encouraged him to continue fighting, including Pacquiao who said that losing is a part of boxing.

While Hatton’s career move is being awaited, the Briton has reportedly been spotted at his new training center in north Manchester, Great Britain.

According to a report by Kevin Francis of the DailyStar.co.uk, Hatton’s presence in the gym is “fuelling rumors that he intends to return to the ring rather than finally hang up his gloves after almost a decade at the top.”

Though Francis was quick to point out that Team Hatton members have told him that “the Hitman” is just “keeping in shape.”

Hatton’s lawyer, Gareth Williams, explained to the Daily Star that “Ricky was often criticized for ballooning in weight between fights but he has been going to the gym purely from a fitness perspective.”

Hatton, 30, currently has a win-loss record of 45-2 with 32 knockouts.

After I saw how bad he was

After I saw how bad he was 'demolished', I wasn't thinking he would ever use his gym memberships again. A pretty courageous fella, but not as good as he should be...
