MANILA, Philippines – The starting center of the Los Angeles Lakers has found a way to stay in shape despite the NBA’s lockout.

Andrew Bynum tweeted that he is training daily with Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California.

Bynum sent out a tweet last July 4, saying “This is the great Freddie Roach and I, working on my new career!"

Accompanying the tweet was a picture of Bynum working the mitts with the 4-time Trainer of the Year.

Bynum later informed a follower that he was training with Roach daily.

Last Tuesday, Bynum tweeted: “I got a two a day tomorrow first road work in the morning, then back in the ring in the afternoon! I'm going hard yall!”

Some sports bloggers have expressed their concern regarding Bynum’s boxing training.

Kelly Dwyer of Yahoo! Sports noticed that Bynum was training with a knee brace on, and said that the 7-footer should be careful.

Bynum has experienced several knee injuries over the course of his short career.
