Donaire holds fans day in California

MANILA – Nonito “the Filipino Flash” Donaire is currently in the United States getting ready for his clash against Panama’s Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion on August 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Donaire-Concepcion match headlines Top Rank Promotions’ “Pinoy Power 2” which will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
In the midst of his training, Donaire will make time for the press and his supporters on his Media Day in San Carlos, California on Saturday, according to PhilBoxing.com.
Donaire’s fans day will take place at 1 p.m. at the Undisputed Boxing Gym along East San Carlos Avenue where he is training.
He is set to go to Las Vegas to train at the Top Rank Gym a week before the fight.
Donaire won fame and recognition after knocking out Vic Darchiyan to win the International Boxing Federation and International Boxing Organization flyweight titles. He climbed weight to campaign for the World Boxing Association super flyweight crown.
“The Filipino Flash” is at 21-1, with 14 knockouts while “El Torito” has a record of 13-3-1, with eight knockouts.
