MANILA, Philippines – British lightweight champion Amir Khan has denied Roger Mayweather's allegations that he has been using steroids.

Khan, who is a sparring mate of pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and is also trained by Freddie Roach, insisted that he has consistently proven that he is a clean fighter.

"This is nonsense. I've been tested repeatedly in my career, before and after fights," Khan said, according to the UK Daily Mail.

Mayweather, the trainer and uncle of undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. told Examiner.com that Khan was on steroids.

"The only reason Amir Khan has become the fighter he is, is because he's got those steroids in his a** too," Mayweather said.

Khan has vehemently denied the accusations.

"Don't forget that I came through the (2004) Olympics, where testing is very thorough," he said.

Roach also came to his fighter's defense.

"I would question Roger Mayweather's education about steroids, first of all. This is nothing more than hearsay. I can promise you that none of my fighters, Amir and Manny included, have ever been to the drug chemist," Roach said.

The Mayweathers have also accused Pacquiao of using performance enhancing drugs.

Khan will fight Zab Judah on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) for a title unification bout.
