MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) – The De la Salle Green Archers was ahead of the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 46-42, in the 3rd quarter of their heated UAAP men’s basketball game at a jampacked Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.

Joseph Marata drilled a triple to put the Archers on top, 42-39, with over 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd.

Yutien Andrada scored on a reverse, following his successive shots at the free throw line to keep La Salle ahead 46-42.

The Archers trailed the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 26-30, after the first half.

The Eagles were ahead of the Archers in the 1st quarter, 15-14.

It is the first face-off of the two bitter rivals in the 73rd Season of the UAAP.
