Pinoy Lalic rules California 9-Ball tournament
MANILA, Philippines – Daly-City based Filipino Allen Lalic beat American Mike Peregov, 9-2, in the final to rule the 2nd World Professional Pool Association 9-Ball Shootout.
The billiards event was held at the California Billiards in Mountain View, California.
The 21-year-old Lalic, who hails from Macabebe, Pampanga received the top prize of $1,000, according to Filipino spokesperson Ramon “Maestro Monching” Mistica.
En route to the final, Lalic bested June Padua (8-3), Deo Mark Alpajora (8-6), Elmer Diwa (8-5), CJ Robinson (8-4) and Frank Nordmann, (8-6).
Other participants were John Mark Hernandez, Shawn Munoz, Levy Lampaan, Jaynard Orque and Eduardo Ramos.
