MANILA -- Kenny "KenFlo" Florian thinks he will be facing the "best lightweight in the world" in Ultimate Fighting Championship champion BJ “The Prodigy” Penn when they meet inside the Octagon for UFC 101: Declaration.

Florian will attempt to win the belt from Penn on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Penn, also known as “The Prodigy”, has not lost at 155 pounds. He has an overall MMA record of 13-5-1, banking on strong standup and excellent submissions.

“I see it as an amazing opportunity to test my skills,” Florian told UFC.com of his thoughts on his upcoming match.

Florian, who has a 13-3 win-loss record, said the fight is not just about winning the lightweight belt but inning over Penn.

"It's his skills that set him apart," he said. "I want to show that my skills are up to par or better."

Penn had a string of wins over tough lightweight contenders that include Sean Sherk in UFC 84 and Joe Stevenson in UFC 80. He, however, suffered a technical knockout loss to Georges St-Pierre in UFC 94 when he attempted to fight as a welterweight.

"UFC 94 was actually a blessing," said Penn. "If i've won that fight and somebody said, 'oh go and train with Marv Marinovich', I would have said 'why would I train with Marv Marinovich? I'm wasting my time."

Marinovich is a respected conditioning trainer who has worked with Pittsburgh Steelers' All-Pro defensive back Troy Polamalu among others.

“I’m doing this for me now, and to beat me, it’s not gonna take a few simple answers,” said Penn.

Meantime, UFC 101 will also feature middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva, who will take on Forrest Griffin at the junior heavyweight division.
