MANILA, Philippines – Antonio Margarito’s trainer guaranteed that the Mexican will be an improved fighter when he faces off with Manny Pacquiao on November 13.

“The world will see a different Margarito this time around. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to change him completely,” Robert Garcia told John Martinez of PhilBoxing.com.

“If Manny wants to go to war, we will help him get his wish. Our focus is to box, but we are ready for a war if Manny wants to go there.”

Garcia related that Margarito has learned so much under his tutelage as the fighter is doing things he has not done before. These include jabbing, head movement and defense.

“Antonio looks and is far different than what people know him as from before,” he declared.

He also stated what he wants his ward to do against the 7-division world champion. Their fight venue, however, has not yet been decided on.

“I don’t want see Antonio take three hits to give one. I want him to move his head and hands more,” he said. “I want him to make Manny miss and make him pay, but Margarito is who he is and will always want to beat on somebody by going to war.”

Garcia earlier said that he thinks Margarito can deck Pacquiao in the later rounds of their match.

Arum on Marquez-Pacquiao

Although Margarito is slated to clash with Pacquiao, a faction in the boxing world is now calling for a fight

Manny Pacquiao

with another Mexican, Juan Manuel Marquez.

The clamor surfaced after Marquez defeated American Juan Diaz by unanimous decision on Saturday (Sunday in Manila). Marquez himself said that he wants another shot at Pacquiao after his victory.

Pacquiao, now the congressman of Sarangani province, defeated Marquez in 2008 by split decision. They first met in 2004 when their bout ended in a draw.

Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, said the Pacquiao-Marquez part 3 is a good idea but the Mexican still has to prove his worth.

“Really, I would love to make the third fight with Marquez against Manny but Marquez has to show the public that he can be successful at a higher weight, at a weight nearer where Manny is,” Arum told Michael Marley of Examiner.com

Arum said that while Pacquiao is a full-fledged welterweight, Marquez is “just a good lightweight.”

He then suggested other fighters that Marquez can take on. “I'm not demeaning the guy, he's been a terrific fighter overall but he's not in Manny's weight class at this time. Fighting Amir Khan is meaningless so I say let Marquez go out and fight a Tim Bradley, a Devon Alexander or an Andre Berto. Let him fight and beat one of those guys,” stated Arum. – With reports from PhilBoxing.com and Examiner.com

Could well be fight of the

Could well be fight of the year, so far Pacquiao has shown he has never been afraid to stand toe to toe with every fighter he has faced.

Pacquiao vs Margarito | Pacquiao vs Margarito | Pacquiao Margarito

Battle tested army marine rangers on standby.

He can order his province military to protect him at all cost. Margarito cant win in this fight. He is now a Philippine Congressman whose host country on notice can be required to protect him from any harm.

This will be a very easy

This will be a very easy fight for Manny Pacquiao. All Margarito will get is a beating.. And his biggest payday.. It's just so sad that Floyd is afraid of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao vs Margarito | Martinez vs Williams | Haye vs Harrison

Knock Out

Manny must KO Margarito in the "First 2" rounds. Otherwise, the "Last 2" might be the downfall of Congressman Manny Pacquiao.

ARUM IS ONE GREEDY PIECE OF $H!T

Bob is single handedly killing boxing with his greedy ways. No reasonable pay per view paying boxing fans would pay to watch Pacquiao fight a well known cheater. Margacheato doesn't deserve a pay day with Manny. He should be banned from ever fighting again. It's a disgrace to the sport. Margarito is a disgrace to the sport. Manny should know better. Oh I forgot Manny fighting at a bull$hit catchweight again for a stupid belt is an embarrassment. He should either fight at 154 or 147 and stop making up weight divisions. Spare me the technicality, 150 is not a weight division. If Manny wants to be respected and recognized as real junior middleweight champion, then he needs to fight at the max weight and fight as a real junior middleweight not as a half a$s jr middleweight.

Pacquiao/Marquez III is way way more marketable fight and will make more money than a fight with Margarito. Pacquiao-Marquez have unfinished business. Their two fights was so close and just classics that its owed to the fans that they fight a third time. And if Manny beats Marquez convincingly it will erase any doubts from their first two fights. The mexican and hispanic fans' respect and loyalty for Marquez not Margarito.

Pacquiao/Margarito is all about Bob's greed. It's all about money for him. Keeping fights in-house so he doesn't have to share revenue with other promoters.

If not Marquez, I'd rather see Manny fight Berto. Heck, Tim Bradley is a option. That's a far more attractive fight for paying fans in the States.
