MANILA, Philippines – Shortly after Stephan Schrock’s announcement that he’s “resigning” from the Philippine Azkals, Dennis Cagara has followed suit.

The Danish-Filipino left back said he won’t play for the Philippines as long as Thomas Dooley remains coach.

But Cagara, just like Schrock, did not explain his opposition to Dooley.

Schroeck had said that while he wants to play for the Philippines, he wants to stay away from the German-American coach, who recently replaced Michael Weiss.

"It's not true that I don't wanna play for Philippines anymore. It was always a pleasure for me and I feel still honored to have the possibility to play for my country, the country where my heart belongs," Schrock said in his Facebook page.

"I wanna be honest to you, cause you deserve the truth. As long as coach (Thomas) Dooley will lead the team, I won't wear the jersey of Azkals again," he said.

Meanwhile, Dooley promised to clear up the issue when he returns to the Philippines on Wednesday. He is currently in Vietnam to attend the draw of the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup.

“I never keep quiet,” Dooley told Yahoo! Sports’ Bob Guerrero. “I’m in Vietnam and when I’m back by Wednesday or Thursday, we will have a press conference.”
