MANILA - The University of the East Red Warriors on Thursday continued to show their brilliance on the hardcourt after earning a 77-69 overtime win over the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in the 72nd UAAP basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Warriors' Rudy Lingganay was adjudged the best player of the game after banging in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

UP absorbed its second loss to the Warriors after losing a 95-91 double-overtime game to UE last Sunday.
