MANILA, Philippines – Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the son of namesake and legendary Mexican boxer Cesar Sr., is likely to come to Manila and help “Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao prepare against Antonio Margarito.

Top Rank’s Bob Arum said Chavez will join trainer Freddie Roach when the boxing coach flies to Manila to train Pacquiao for the November 13 fight.

“Freddie is also planning to take Chavez to train with Manny,” the veteran promoter told boxing scribe Ronnie Nathanielsz of Philboxing.com and Insidesports.ph.

Chavez himself is preparing for the biggest fight of his career against erstwhile Pacquiao opponent Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico on December 4.

The 6-foot-1 Chavez, who holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) silver middleweight title, will help Pacquiao prepare against Margarito, who stands at 5-foot-11.

Chavez, who has remained unbeaten in 43 fights, is the son of Mexican great and 6-time world champion Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr.

The elder Chavez is listed in ESPN’s 50 greatest boxers of all time.

Arum said that after training in Manila, Pacquiao will fly to the US a month before the fight and train at Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California.

Chavez is a really good

Chavez is a really good option. He has almost the same fighting style as Margarito. But this upcoming November 2010 fight will be as easy as the Hatton fight.

Pacquiao vs Margarito | Martinez vs Williams | Haye vs Harrison
