Jeric Teng's status remains 'day-to-day'
MANILA – Injured player Jeric Teng of University of Sto. Tomas (UST) still won’t be able to play when the Growling Tigers face University of the East (UE) on Thursday.
Teng, who was injured after a collision with National University’s Jeoffrey Javillonar last month, is still recovering from his shoulder injury.
The UST team captain, however, said he has been practicing on his own.
“Sariling practice pa lang ako pero wala na ’yung [orthopedic arm] sling,” he said in an interview with Spin.ph’s Reuben Terrado.
Teng said he looks forward to reuniting with his team in the second round of the basketball eliminations, but said that his status remains to be “day-to-day.”
“Day-to-day pa rin pero sure na I’m not playing against UE,” he said.
The UE Red Warriors are looking to avenge its first round defeat to the Tigers last month.
They are scheduled to collide at the Araneta Coliseum on Thursday at 4 p.m.
