Ortiz vows to end Mayweather's career
MANILA, Philippines – WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz promises to do more than just knockout Floyd Mayweather when the 2 boxers meet on September 17.
Ortiz vows that he will end the undefeated American’s career.
"His career is going to be over after I climb in the ring with him," Ortiz told the UK Daily Star.
"He has a great record, but it will be over when we meet. My coach has said that I will knock him out, and that's what I'm going to do," he added.
But Ortiz is considered as a heavy underdog against Mayweather, who has not lost through 41 professional fights.
Mayweather has already said that Ortiz is a great challenge for him.
"He is a young, fast, and very strong champion, but I will show that I am the best boxer in the world," Mayweather said.
