UFC's Edgar moving to featherweight
MANILA, Philippines – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Frankie "The Answer" Edgar has confirmed that he will drop down to the featherweight division after sustaining two consecutive losses at the lightweight division.
MMA reporter Ariel Helwani broke the news on Twitter, saying, "As reported on UFC Tonight, Frankie Edgar has decided to move to 145lbs."

Edgar himself retweeted Helwani.
Despite being small for the division, Edgar captured the lightweight title and defended it three times, but he lost the belt to Benson Henderson earlier this year in a controversial contest.
Their rematch at UFC 150 was equally controversial with Edgar losing a razor-thin split decision.
Helwani further tweeted that Edgar "hopes to debut before the end of the year" against a yet to be determined opponent.
It is unlikely that Edgar will get an immediate title shot against reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo, although the Brazilian fighter has said the he would welcome Edgar to the division.
"He said he wants to drop to the featherweight so I'm hoping he does that to end this story. He's welcome here, so that we shut him off and he goes to the lightweight or bantamweight classes," Aldo told Tatame.
UFC president Dana White has yet to comment on Edgar's decision.
