SLIDESHOW: Team James beats Team Phil in Dream Match
MANILA, Philippines – James Younghusband gained revenge on his younger brother Phil as his team claimed a dominant 4-1 victory in the second edition of the Clear Dream Match at the rain-soaked University of Makati stadium Saturday night.
Phil’s team won the inaugural edition of the match, 5-1, last year, but James was able to even the score.
After Phil struck first for his team, James scored twice, and Izzo Elhabib also found the back of the net twice for Team James.
Another highlight of the Dream Match was the presence of football legends Fabio Cannavaro and Dennis Wise. Cannavaro, who won the 2006 World Cup with Italy, played on James’ team, while Wise, one of the best players in the history of Chelsea FC, played for Phil’s.
Earlier, Clear brand manager Drew Copuyoc announced that the Dream Match was entirely non-profit, with half of the proceeds going to the relief efforts for the victims of the habagat and Tropical Storm Maring, while the other half will go to the Tuloy sa Don Bosco Foundation.
