LOS ANGELES, California -- The media blitz for Manny Pacquiao’s third battle against Juan Manuel Marquez is about begin.

Marquez and Top Rank Chief Operating Officer (CEO) Bob Arum boarded Philippine Airlines flight 103 at Los Angeles international airport Tuesday night (Wednesday in Manila).

Juan Manuel Marquez on his way to the Philippines.

This is the second time Marquez will visit the Philippines, and he's bringing well wishes for the Filipino fight fans.

“I want to say hello to all the Philippine people because the Philippine people are great persons,” said Marquez.

Pinoy fight fans were happy to see the Pacman's rival, some even took pictures with him as he checked in.

“Marquez versus Pacquiao, I think it's going to be a close one. But Pacquiao will do it,” said Pacquiao fan Noel Mendoza.

In Manila, Marquez will visit the Mexican consulate on Friday and attend mass with the Pacman.

The week-long press tour will cover 4 cities in 3 countries.

The press tour launches in Manila.

The fighters will then appear in New York and Los Angeles next week before wrapping up the tour in Marquez's territory in Mexico City.

As Top Rank gears up for the much anticipated Marquez-Pacquiao showdown, Arum shared a few thoughts on his other Pinoy fighters, including whom he believes is the next Pacquiao.

Arum is riding high on the unbeaten Mercito Gesta.

Gesta will be fighting on September 17 in Arizona, and recently had a sparring session with former Pacquiao opponent and former world champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley.

“I love Gesta. I just think he's going to be a big star. He has the same kind of style as Manny and hopefully he turns out well,” said Arum.

Arum also said Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. will defend his title against undefeated Argentine Omar Narvaez in the New York.

“Looks like he’s going to October 22nd, Madison Square Garden, New York, yeah the big time. Against Narvaez, the undefeated Argentine,” said Arum.
