MANILA, Philippines – The National University (NU) Bulldogs gained a share of the lead in the UAAP men’s basketball standings by beating the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors on Saturday.
The Bulldogs’ 81-73 win over the Warriors gave them an identical 8-3 record with Far Eastern University (FEU). UE fell to 5-5 after the loss.
Meanwhile, Adamson University ended a 6-game slump by defeating the winless University of the Philippines, 67-53.
The Falcons now sport a 4-8 slate, while the Maroons continued their free fall with 10 straight defeats.
The men’s basketball action will resume on Sunday with University of Sto. Tomas battling FEU at 12 noon. This will be followed by the anticipated second round rematch between rivals Ateneo de Manila University and the De La Salle University at 4 p.m.
