MANILA, Philippines – Top Rank, Inc. CEO Bob Arum will skip the New York and Texas legs of the media tour for the Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito bout after being informed that his 49-year-old son is missing on a hiking expedition.

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports said the veteran promoter flew to Seattle from LA on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila).

John B. Arum, a lawyer just like his father, was hiking near Seattle.

“They've got search parties looking for him right now,” Arum told Los Angeles Times reporter Lance Pugmire.

But according to Yahoo! Sports, the public information officer for the Seattle Police Department and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office had no records of a missing person complaint filed about the younger Arum.

The report added that Arum was informed of his son’s situation shortly before the first Pacquiao vs. Margarito press conference in Los Angeles, California.

Arum even conducted the press conference at the Rodeo Room of Beverly Hills Hotel.

The media tour is slated to continue in New York on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) and Arlington, Texas on Thursday (Friday in Manila).

The Pacquiao vs Margarito fight will be held at the Cowboys Stadium on November 13. – With reports from Lance Pugmire, Los Angeles Times and Kevin Iole, Yahoo! Sports
