MANILA, Philippines – Adamson head coach Kenneth Duremdes plans to give extended minutes to his veteran players as a way of honoring them for their service to the school with just three games to go in the elimination round of the UAAP Season 77 tournament.

"We are giving more playing time for our veterans," Duremdes said after Adamson's loss to De La Salle University last weekend. "As I've said sa dugout, let's honor these three players for servicing the school for five years, for playing with us for five years."

The three players are forwards Don Trollano and Jansen Rios, and point guard Ryan Monteclaro.

"Kung sino 'yung mga ka-pwesto nila, medyo mag-sacrifice muna tayo because this is their last year. So the last three games, ma-feel niya na mas marami ang playing time for them," Duremdes said.

"Hindi naman nila sinasayang (ang playing time). They're giving back naman," he added.

Duremdes said he has already explained to the younger Falcons that part of the reason the coaching staff is giving more minutes to their veterans is to allow Trollano, Rios, and Monteclaro to show off their skills.

"You can tell that the scouts are watching. Many teams are looking now for collegiate players, so maybe, this is a factor," said the coach.

"By giving them more playing time eh, kahit papaano napapansin sila ng mga scouts and team owners, and it's good for them," he added.

One player who made the most of his playing time was Trollano, who scored a career-high 26 points to go along with 11 rebounds in nearly 37 minutes of action against La Salle.

"Good for him," Duremdes said of Trollano's achievement. "This is his final year, and I wish him more. I wish him more and good luck in his next level, especially after the UAAP."
