MANILA – The anticipated match up between former top pound-for-pound boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez will be available locally through SkyCable’s Season Pass on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 8 am.

To be telecast live as a Season Pass Event from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Number One/Numero Uno: Mayweather vs Marquez could usher into a historical match up with pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather Jr., the “Number One” in the welterweight division, breaks out from his retirement to battle with Marquez, the “Numero Uno” in the lightweight division.

Should Mayweather win, he could set up a showdown with the reigning pound-for-pound king.

A Marquez win could give the Mexican a chance to redeem his loss to Pacquiao, who snatched his WBC super featherweight title in 2008.

The Number One/Numero Uno undercard fights include the WBA featherweight championship match between defending champ Chris John and 2000 Olympic silver medalist Rocky Juarez; the WBO Interim Lightweight Championship bout between Michael Katsidis and US Olympian Vicente Escobedo; and the welterweight matchup between former undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah and Antonio Diaz.

The knockout Season Pass Event will be telecast live with absolutely no commercial breaks and will be available to SkyCable digital subscribers in Metro Manila and Pilipino Cable subscribers in CAMANAVA area.
