MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather Sr. believes that the partnership between Floyd Jr. and rapper 50 Cent will be good for his son.

This is despite the reported friction between the rapper and the undefeated boxer.

“Fifty Cent is cool, man; he's cool. He's a down-home person, man,” Floyd Sr. told Fight Hype

“He ain't nothing like a lot of them rappers that I see bragging about money and all that (expletive). Fifty ain't like that, man, and he got a whole bunch of that (expletive), too.”

Ironically, Floyd’s son is the bragging type.

Floyd Jr. is known for his penchant of showing off his riches, especially since he had taken on his “Money” Mayweather persona.

He was recently shown in a video footage counting $1 million in cash.

Following his release from jail, Floyd Jr. has collaborated with 50 Cent to form The Money Team (TMT) Promotions.

Some of the boxers who signed up with TMT are Australia’s Billy Dib, Cuban exile Yuriorkis Gamboa and middleweight Andre Dirrell.

But recently, reports came out about the alleged friction between 50 Cent and Floyd Jr.

“Me and Floyd are always gonna be cool,” 50 Cent said in The Morning Show, but then hinted that he and the boxer may be having some differences.

“With Floyd, everybody around him is waiting on the next time he feels generous. And I have a lot, so I don’t wait for nobody,” he said. “It’s just space and time.”

However, Floyd Sr. said 50 Cent's good demeanor could rub off on Floyd Jr.

"To tell you the truth, i think 50 is good for my son though."
