Colossa dominates Boku in ONE FC
MANILA, Philippines – South Africa’s Vuyisile Colossa emerged victorious in the main event of ONE FC by dominating former champion Kotetsu Boku during their lightweight match in Indonesia on Friday.
The opening stanza saw Colossa landing several leg kicks while former Boku regularly switched stances to land several big punches.
The African had Boku retreating in the second round by firing devastating leg kicks and accurate punching. Collosa then forced the Japanese to switch to survival mode with a barrage of elbows and knees in the third round.
The judges awarded the unanimous decision victory to Colossa.
In the co-main event, Dutch-Indonesian striker Vincent Latoel forced Willy Ni to tap out in just one round.
Both fighters immediately came out swinging at the opening bell, but Latoel later trapped Ni in a guillotine choke that forced the latter to submit.
