Palami plans to invite UP Pep Squad to cheer for Azkals
MANILA, Philippines – Azkals team manager Dan Palami was impressed with the performance of the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad during the UAAP Cheerdance tilt that he plans to invite the team to cheer for the National football team.
“Would love to see the UP Pep Squad perform in the Azkals vs Nepal game on Oct 11, Rizal stadium!” Palami said through his Twitter account.
UP on Saturday retained its cheerdance title, besting 7 cheerdance teams from other UAAP schools.
Palami hopes the pep squad will boost the Azkals confidence when they play against Nepal in a friendly game.
The Philippine Football Association (PFF) invited the Nepalese team to Manila to help the Azkals prepare for the Asean Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup in 2012.
