Top Rank chief executive Bob Arum he come to terms with WBO super flyweight champion Fernando Montiel for a rematch with  Z The Dream” Gorres in Macau on December 13.

Arum said he had a big meeting in Las Vegas (Thursday, Manila time) and “pretty much finalized the card.”

“We are reaching out to the manager of Z Gorres. If you can help and have the guy call me I would really appreciate it instead of going through a dozen others,” Arum told Manila-based sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz in a telephone conversation.

Arum disclosed that he had met with Montiel's promoter, Fernando Beltran, who told him that the boxer “is willing to do that fight."

"We agreed on terms for Montiel and now we have to reach terms with Z Gorres,” Arum said.

Arum then requested that Gorres’management team of Cebu boxing patron Tony Aldeguer and his son Michael to call him. “We want to make that fight (Montiel vs Gorres).

Montiel scored a controversial split decision win over Gorres in the “Moment of Truth” fight card in Cebu in March last year. Since then, Gorres has been eager to get a chance to avenge that loss in a fight which a large majority of sportswriters believed he won.

Arum said that the big fight card will have former world light flyweight champion Brian Viloria fighting IBF champion Ulises Solis for the Mexican’s title.

North American Boxing Federation super bantamweight champion Bernabe Concepcion will also see action on the card. Also included in the card is former heavyweight champion  Hasim Rahman against a heavyweight from New Zealand, Shane Cameron.

The Aldeguers, meanwhile, told Nathanielsz that they would have to first clear it with Golden Boy Promotions since Gorres is under contract with the US promoter. It was learned that Golden Boy is planning for a Gorres fight in the US sometime in November.

The father and son team promised to issue a statement once they get word from Golden Boy.
