Marquez says Pacquiao hits harder than Floyd
‘But Floyd will beat Pacquiao’
MANILA, Philippines – Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez has admitted that Manny Pacquiao hits much harder than Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Marquez and Pacquiao appeared in ESPN’s First Take where the gritty Mexican made the admission.
When ESPN’s Skip Bayless asked Marquez who is the heavier puncher between Pacquiao and Mayweather, the Mexican pointed at Pacquiao and said, “Him.”
'Because he likes to fight'
Marquez has had the opportunity of facing both Pacquiao and Mayweather.
In 2009, he fought and lost a lopsided decision to Mayweather.
In that fight, the Mexican was outweighed by Mayweather by 4 pounds. Marquez also suffered a 2nd-round knockdown at the hands of the American boxer.
Against Pacquiao, Marquez sustained a total of 4 knockdowns in three fights.
However, Marquez believes the fighting congressman from the Philippines will be outfoxed by the slick fighting Mayweather.
"Everybody knows Floyd. Floyd is very defense; he don't fight aggressive, and Manny I think [is] looking for the fight all night,” said Marquez.
Pacquiao and Marquez are scheduled for a fourth clash on December 8.
The fight will again take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
