Surfing competition kicks off in Siargao
MANILA, Philippines – The Siargao International Surfing Competition, which is part of the Asian surfing circuit, kicked off Monday afternoon with participants from five different countries.
Twenty-four women and 48 men from Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and the Philippines will participate in the event, which is the sixth stop of the Asian Surfing Championship.
The winner in the men’s division will receive $10,000, while the winner in the women’s division will receive $5,000.
The seven-day competition runs from September 23 until September 29.
