Lakers' Blake punctures left foot
MANILA, Philippines – Steve Blake of the Los Angeles Lakers has punctured his left foot after stepping on a spike strip in a parking lot.
According to the team, Blake will not be doing any impact exercises for approximately three weeks.
The back-up point guard is entering his third season with the Lakers.
With Blake sidelined, Chris Duhon and second-year player Darius Morris will serve as the candidates for back-up minutes behind new Laker and two-time league MVP Steve Nash.
Last season, Blake averaged five points, three assists and 33% from the three-point line in just over 23 minute per game. -- ANC
