Servania to avenge Banal's loss to 'El Torito'
MANILA, Philippines – Panamanian boxer Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion will be returning to Cebu to headline a Pinoy Pride card against rising Filipino prospect Genesis “Azukal” Servania on October 26.
Concepcion is that same fighter that dashed AJ Banal’s world title hopes in 2008 by knocking out the Cebuano in the 10th round of their WBA Interim super flyweight bout at the Cebu Coliseum.
This time Concepcion will be facing a younger boxer in Servania in Pinoy Pride XXII, which was aptly titled “The Revenge.”
“I have no pressure for this fight,” said Servania in a Philboxing report by Dong Secuya.
“I'm sure I'm going to get revenge for AJ,” said the 22-year-old, who is coming off a tough victory over Konosuke Tomiyama of Japan last July.
