Tickets for Game 1 of UAAP Finals sold out
MANILA, Philippines – Tickets for the highly anticipated Game 1 of the UAAP Season 75 Finals between the defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles and the University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers are sold out, according to SM Tickets.
SM Tickets announced on their Facebook and Twitter accounts that Game 1 tickets were sold out and that no more tickets will be sold on game day, October 6.
Tickets for the first game were sold starting 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena's Coral Way Ticket Booth, but UAAP fans started lining up much earlier.
A search on Twitter showed that fans lined up as early as 1 a.m., while some claimed that others camped out overnight.
"We arrived at MOA Arena at around 6:20 am, and I was already the 691st person in the line," tweeted Eliz Kabahar (@elizdaman). "The early birds were already there at around 2:00 am."
Many UAAP fans tweeted that around 5 a.m., there was already a long line at the MOA Arena. Issah Duenas (@issahduenas) tweeted a picture, saying "Everybody wants that golden Game 1 ticket."

"Estimated around 1K who are in line will not be able to buy today at MOA Arena due to limited number of tickets being sold," tweeted the UST Salinggawi account (@Salinggawi_UST).

Meanwhile, tickets for Game 1 have popped up on online buy-and-sell websites such as Sulit.com.ph.
As early as Monday, one seller was already offering lower box and upper box tickets for P2,500 and P2,000, respectively.
Lower box tickets originally cost only P300, while upper box tickets cost P175.
SM Tickets had previously announced that they will only sell a limited number of tickets at the MOA Arena, as bulk of the tickets went to Ateneo and UST.
The Eagles and the Tigers are meeting in the Finals in a rematch of their classic three-game series in Season 69. Ateneo is seeking its fifth straight title, while UST is aiming for their first championship since 2006.
