MANILA, Philippines – Far Eastern University (FEU) guard Terrence Romeo fulfilled another one of his basketball dreams after he agreed to join the Philippine team that will compete in the Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar later this year.
Romeo, the UAAP Season 76 Most Valuable Player, was among the players named to the SEA Games pool by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).
After receiving his MVP trophy on Saturday, Romeo told reporters that he has confirmed his participation to the SBP.
“Opo.
The top-scorer in the UAAP Season 76 tournament, Romeo said he is willing to sacrifice his touches for the good of the team during the SEA Games.
Romeo also said he is open to joining the Gilas Pilipinas cadet pool.
Kung deserving po ako doon, why not?” he said.
