MANILA – Christabel Martes and Cresenciano Sabal were crowned the Milo Marathon Queen and King after winning the 33rd Milo National Marathon Finals on Sunday in Manila.

Martes and Sabal won P75,000 each.

Sabal, now a three-time Milo Marathon champion, overtook Eric Panique to win the title, reported Abac Cordero of The Philippine Star. He finished the run in 2:32:54.

Panique came in second while Mendel Lopez finished third in the men’s division.

Martes, meantime, ended her run in 3:01.20 to claim her fourth Milo Marathon title.

Grace delos Santos and Miscelle Gilbuena trailed Martes in second and third, respectively.

The Milo National Marathon held 26 race legs around the country before the National Finals. -- With a report from Abac Cordero, The Philippine Star
