MANILA – The Adamson Lady Falcons posted their first win in the Shakey’s V-League Season 6 after edging the Lyceum Lady Pirates Tuesday at the Arena in San Juan City.

Adamson won over Lyceum, 25-20, 13-25, 25-23, 18-25,15-13, after losing to the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Tigresses in the V-League opener last Sunday.

“They are still trying to adjust with their respective games since we still don’t have a gym to train,” Adamson coach Dulce Pante told V-League.ph.

The recent flooding caused by heavy rains brought by tropical storm “Ondoy” damaged the Adamson gym.

Lady Falcon Pau Soriano made 16 points while Jill Gustillo contributed 13 points and Angela Benting had 12 points.

Meanwhile, the Ateneo Lady Eagles were triumphant in the second game against the University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Maroons.

Ateneo gave UP its second loss of the season after winning in straight sets, 25-23, 25-13, 25-13. UP also lost to the Far Eastern University (FEU) in straight sets last Sunday.

The Lady Maroons will aim to score their first win when they go against the Lady Falcons on Friday at 2 p.m. This will be followed by a match featuring the Lady Pirates and Tigresses at 4 p.m.

On Sunday, FEU will take on Adamson and UP will challenge defending champion UST.

Volleyball action continues on Tuesday wherein three matches are lined up: Adamson vs. College of St. Benilde, UST vs Ateneo, and UP vs San Sebastian College.
