MANILA – Marlon “Marvelous” Manalo clinched his second title of the year after winning the 2009 Seminole Pro Tour in Florida over the weekend.

Manalo defeated American Donnie Mills, 10-5, at Strokers Billiards in Palm Harbor.

His victory is his third Seminole Pro Tour title, AZBilliards.com reported. He topped the Seminole Pro Tour in 2007 twice, at Palm Harbor and Spring Hill, Florida.

His Seminole Pro Tour win comes after his triumph at the Tri State Tour Stop last month in New York.

Manalo received the top prize worth $3,000 and a trophy. Mills, meantime, received the runner-up trophy and $2,000.

The Filipino cue artist reached the final after beating James Roberts 7-1, Stevie Moore 7-3, Corey Deuel 8-3, and Robert Aravena 8-4.

A total of 37 pool players participated in the event including Mike Davis, Tony Crosby and Justin Hall.

Hall, the third placer, received $1,500 while Jerry Calderon finished fourth and received $1,000, according to MxmBilliards.com.
