Meralco coach loses iPad, iPhone during game: report

MANILA, Philippines – A thief victimized Meralco coach Ryan Gregorio and two others while the Bolts were playing against Globalport Batang Pier in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday.

According to a report by sports website, Spin.ph (Sports Interactive Network Philippines), the thief ransacked Gregorio’s belongings inside the Meralco dugout at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

Reported missing are Gregorio’s iPad computer, iPhone and wallet containing cash.

Assistant coach Ronnie Magsanoc and staff member Xavier Nunag also lost some of their belongings.

Magsanoc’s mobile phone was reported missing, while Nunag’s bag containing valuables was also gone.

Gregorio informed the Arena’s security about the robbery at halftime.

Meralco later suffered a double whammy when it bowed to Globalport, 104-105.

It was the Bolts’ second loss in the Philippine Cup.
