UST remains unbeaten V-League

MANILA – The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Tigresses continued their winning streak at the Shakey’s V-League Season 6 by trouncing the University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Maroons Sunday.

The Tigresses overwhelmed the Lady Maroons, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15, at The Arena in San Juan City.

V-League.ph stated that UST is currently closing in on the first quarterfinal spot. UP, on the other hand, will have to win its last three games to stay in contention for the last quarterfinal spot.

UST is now at 4-0 while UP is winless with a card of 0-4.

In the second game, the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tams overcame the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19.

FEU now has a 2-1 card while Adamson has one win and two losses.

The Lady Falcons will try to improve their place in the standings on Tuesday as they face tossers from College of St. Benilde.

UST, meantime, will face Ateneo-OraCare in the succeeding game. This will be followed by the clash featuring UP and San Sebastian College.
