MANILA, Philippines — Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao assumed the role of the bride’s father in the wedding of his Canadian adviser, Michael Koncz, Tuesday night.

The 7-division boxing champion escorted Filipino-American Rachel Batimana to the altar in the very private wedding held at Baguio Manor Hotel, Baguio City.

After a rigorous training that day, Pacquiao himself fetched the bride from her room.
The renowned boxer eventually became the night’s host following the wedding. He entertained the guests by singing and dancing along with his MP band.

Among Koncz's guests were Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee, boxing promoter Bob Arum, Arum’s daughter Dena Duboef, and Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis "Chavit" Singson.

Singson also stood as one of the wedding sponsors.

Koncz said he is planning another wedding reception after Pacquiao’s bout with Mexico's Antonio Margarito on November 13.

The Canadian has been Pacquiao's "right-hand man" with regards to his overseas affairs.

Koncz once received negative criticisms from the local press regarding the loss of his fighter, Filipino featherweight Bernabe Concepcion, to World Boxing Organization (WBO) champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez last July.
